Nepal faces significant socioeconomic challenges despite its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. As one of the world’s least developed countries, widespread poverty and vulnerabilities have created conditions where human trafficking thrives. The National Human Rights Commission estimates that 1.5 million people are vulnerable to human trafficking, while between 100,000-200,000 Nepali victims are currently in India alone.

Since 2023, our 5-bed rescue and transition center has provided temporary shelter for victims of trafficking, abuse and exploitation. However, many women cannot return home due to stigma and remain vulnerable to re-trafficking. Our new vision is to establish a long-term residential center where survivors can rebuild their lives with spiritual mentoring and life skills training. This will empower them to reintegrate into society with sustainable employment options and renewed hope.

These numbers represent our impact  through the 5-bed rescue and transition home, which opened in 2023. This does not include the hundreds of additional individuals served through our after-school programs, women’s fellowships, and community outreach initiatives.
